Jefferson National Expands Industry’s Largest Lineup of Alternative Investment Options to Help Advisors Manage Challenging Market
Louisville, KY— November 14, 2016— Jefferson National, a leading distributor of innovative tax-advantaged investing solutions for Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs) and fee-based advisors, continues to enhance its fund lineup within Monument Advisor, the industry’s first1 and only Flat-Fee2 Investment-Only Variable Annuity (IOVA). These latest additions include the brand new liquid alternative fund Anchor Tactical Credit Strategies VP and the Janus Aspen INTECH US Low Volatility Portfolio. Jefferson National’s Monument Advisor offers nearly 380 investment options, including more than 70 alternative investment options—the industry’s most underlying funds3 and the most real assets, trading assets, and liquid alternatives4 utilizing strategies like those favored by hedge funds and elite institutional investors.
“With its Flat-Fee pricing, the industry’s most underlying funds, and more alternative investment options than any other Investment-Only VA, Monument Advisor is tailor-made to meet the needs of RIAs and fee-based advisors,” said Laurence Greenberg, President of Jefferson National. “To continue building more robust and resilient client portfolios in today’s turbulent market and low rate/low yield environment, many advisors are using alternative investments—and using tax deferral to optimize alternatives’ performance.”
In response to market demand, Jefferson National’s latest additions include a new liquid alternative fund, Anchor Tactical Credit Strategies VP from boutique fund family, Anchor Capital. This portfolio seeks to provide total return from income and capital appreciation with a secondary objective of limiting risk during unfavorable market conditions. This fund brings a fresh approach to credit strategies available within Monument Advisor.
The Janus INTECH US Low Volatility Portfolio is an all-equity portfolio that targets returns similar to the S&P 500® Index with lower absolute volatility over a market cycle. INTECH’s active approach seeks to add value by selecting stocks with unique volatility characteristics and low correlations to one another. It comprises a smart beta focus, in the large cap category. This fund will help round out Jefferson National’s Janus Aspen suite from nine funds to an even ten, and is the first low volatility equity option from Janus to be offered within Monument Advisor.
