Jefferson National and Orion Advisor Services Partner to Provide RIAs and Fee-Based Advisors with Seamless Platform for Tax-Advantaged Investing
September 21, 2015, Louisville, KY and Omaha, NE – Jefferson National, the recognized innovator of a leading tax-advantaged investing platform for Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), fee-based advisors and the clients they serve, has announced a partnership to offer a seamless data interface with Orion Advisor Services, LLC (“Orion”), a premier portfolio accounting service provider for advisors.
Jefferson National’s Monument Advisor, the industry’s first1 and only Flat-Fee2 Investment-Only Variable Annuity (IOVA) with more than 350 underlying funds, is a transparent no-load tax-advantaged investing platform used by more than 3,000 RIAs and fee-based advisors nationwide to build more wealth for their clients through the power of tax deferral. Orion provides a customizable technology solution including account management, trading, performance reporting and business intelligence, used by more than 700 advisory firms. The creation of a data interface for Jefferson National’s Monument Advisor on the Orion platform will allow RIAs and fee-based advisors to provide more holistic financial advice, by aggregating tax-deferred assets alongside taxable vehicles within a single advisor workstation with real-time data and seamless transaction capabilities.
“This partnership is a significant step forward for the RIAs and fee-based advisors who work with Orion and Jefferson National. By creating a one-stop solution to manage taxable and tax deferred portfolios side by side, we’re helping advisors optimize clients’ returns without increasing risk to accumulate substantially more,” said Laurence Greenberg, President of Jefferson National. “Likewise, incorporating Jefferson National’s Monument Advisor data directly onto Orion’s platform will allow advisors to provide more transparency, more timely transactions and more accurate reporting, to help them build stronger relationships with their clients.”
“Jefferson National is unique in its value proposition for advisors and their clients, and we are delighted to team up with them to bring fully integrated tax-advantage investing to the Orion platform,” said Eric Clarke, Founder and President of Orion. “Like Orion, Jefferson National is dedicated to serving independent RIAs and fee-based advisors with innovation and excellence. This new partnership serves as the perfect example of our mission to enhance the user experience and create greater value for our advisors and the clients they serve.”
The partnership will come in two phases. Phase one will include direct data feeds for advisors using Monument Advisor on the Orion platform, to cut costs, simplify accounting and reporting, and provide a consolidated view of their entire portfolio with instant access to real-time data. Phase two, scheduled for launch in the Second Quarter of 2016, will facilitate trading of Monument Advisor assets directly on Orion’s platform, giving advisors and their clients a fully integrated one-stop solution with seamless transaction capabilities for managing tax-deferred assets alongside taxable vehicles.
